Working Towards a Fit Life

This journey to better health and fitness can get lonely. If you’d like to have support of an online group to keep you accountable, cheer with you as you reach your goals and enjoy a few laughs along the way, join the Beachbody family of customers! It’s turned out to be a great option for me.

When you sign up and place an order here through my coach page, you will gain me as your “coach.” I put quotes around that since I’m really just like most every other person with a hectic life. I’m working a demanding job; part of a family I care deeply about; playing music with my husband in a band and helping lead worship in the band at our church; helping out my aging mom; and keeping up with our farm.

But coach is the term Beachbody assigns to those of us who desire to help others get healthier and achieve better fitness through the wonderful workout programs and nutrition products that Beachbody offers. When I signed up back in August 2012, I started right out as a coach since I knew I wanted to drink a Shakeology shake on a daily basis. I did the math, and signing up with a Challenge Pack and being a coach made the best financial sense since I was committed to using Shakeology on a daily basis.

The “coach” option provides a lower price for Shakeology and other perks. Not too long into my journey, I saw the possibilities to cover the cost of my Shakeology, plus that of my hubby, if I grew my business as an Independent Team Beachbody Coach. So I moved from being a “Discount Coach” to a coach with a team.

Interacting with others on my team who are experiencing the quest for better health and fitness along with me has made it more fun than I ever expected.

I’d love to have you join my team – as either a customer or a coach. You can jump in to one of my online accountability groups after you sign up. And if you’re not sure yet, please feel free to listen to my podcast, Heartsong Fit. You’ll get a much better feel for who I am and how important I think it is for us to work at managing stress in our lives and striving towards better health. You can listen here from the media player in the show notes pages for my podcast in this website, or you can subscribe to the show in iTunes, Stitcher or Google Play. What are you waiting for? Let’s do this! Vickie

Summary of the Points Driving My Desire to Keep a Focus on Health and Fitness:

1) the need to stay strong and fit so that I can care for the livestock on our farm in all sorts of Indiana weather;

2) the importance of a strong core and excellent endurance so that I can play long music sets on the stage with our band, Scott Greeson and Trouble With Monday, and easily change instruments from my acoustic guitar to my 25 or 30 pound piano accordions; and

3) a desire to live life in as healthy a way as possible well beyond my 50s so that my husband and I can continue to travel with our music, travel for vacation, and be available to care for our aging parents.

What are the things driving you to get healthier or to maintain good health? Please share in the comments.
